Licensing FAQ
What counts as "one installation"?
One installation of the Truvald™ console. The license covers however many CA servers, forests, templates, and certificates that console can see. Most organizations need one. If you run separate Truvald™ instances for isolated environments, each instance is one license.
Is there a volume discount?
Yes — if you need multiple installations, send an email and we'll work something out. Same goes for multi-year agreements.
Does the Evaluation license expire?
No. The evaluation version is the full product with no time limit — the only restriction is that report and documentation generation is disabled. We'd rather you run it indefinitely and upgrade when the value is obvious than pressure you into a purchase before you're sure.
What does the annual renewal cover?
All updates, new features, and support for that year. The software doesn't stop working if you don't renew — it just won't receive updates after the subscription period ends.
How does payment work?
All paid tiers go through Stripe checkout on truvald.ca — card or e-transfer, charged in CAD. Some US-issued cards may apply a foreign-transaction fee — check with your card issuer. For invoice-based purchasing (PO, EFT, wire), email admin@brkrops.ca. Government procurement processes are fine — we've been through them before.
Does Truvald™ phone home?
No. The product runs entirely inside your environment — no telemetry, no SaaS dashboard, no cloud sync. Activation is a one-time license-key check. Your CA data never leaves your network. That's deliberate: a tool that audits your PKI shouldn't be one that bypasses it.
Can I get a quote for procurement?
Email us and we'll turn a formal quote around quickly. Include your organization name, rough number of CA servers, and whether you need a vendor registration package.
